Schezwan Egg Fried Rice

As in the name Fried rice should be kept on high flame and get it little fried to get in the taste of it. After preparing the food cook it in high flame and toast it with big spoon. Many prefer spiciest fried rice then normal fried rice. Schezwan fried rice is adding up the sauce that is specially prepared and mixed with the normal fried rice.

Long grain basmati rice is one of the secret and best way to create the fried ricde taste like restaurant way. The other major thing to make fried rice taste better is making the fried rice extra salty and giving them the color by adding light soy sauce or dark soy sauce to make it look more appetizing.

In this recipe am going to share the secrets to make the best restaurant style of fried rice and the schezwan sauce that makes it even more tastier

Preparation time: 30 mins Cooking time: 30 mins Total time: 1hour


  • Carrot πŸ₯• – 1
  • Beans. – 5 to 6
  • Capsicum πŸ«‘ – 1/2 both red and green
  • Spring onions – 1 bunch
  • Oil. – 1/2 cup
  • Salt πŸ§‚ – 3tsp
  • Pepper – 1 tbsp
  • Schezwan Sauce – 1/2 cup
  • Garlic πŸ§„ – 5 to 6 cloves
  • Ginger – 1 inch
  • Onion πŸ§… – few small or 1 big onion.

Ingredients: for frying eggs :

  • Eggs πŸ₯š – 4 to 5
  • Salt πŸ§‚ – 1tsp
  • Pepper. – 1 tsp
  • Oil – 2 tbsp

For basmati rice:

  • Basmati rice 🍚 – 1 cup
  • Water – 2 cups
  • Salt. – 2 tbsp
  • Oil. – 2 tsp.
  • Schezwan sauce – 5 to 6 tbsp

Method : To cook rice

Step 1:

In a bowl add in a cup of basmati rice and rinse them thoroughly with some water until the water looks really clear. Now soak them with some water in for half an hour minimum.

Step 2 :

Now after soaking them. In a pan or cooker add in 2 cups of water and add in the salt. Now turn on the flame when the water boils add the rice. Cook them to 75 % And once cooked drain them and spread them in a paper or cotton cloth.

For egg frying:

Step 1 :

In a bowl break the eggs and add them to it. Now in a pan or small kadai add some oil and once it is hot pour in the eggs. Add some salt and pepper to it. Mix them after few minutes and then keep them aside.

Making of fried rice :

Step 1:

Cut the vegetables that you are going to add in the fried rice to a desired shape and keep them aside. Now , in a large kadai or wok pour some oil and once it is hot add in the vegetables and sautΓ© them for few minutes until it is 80 percentage cooked.

Step 2:

Now add in the fried eggs to the wok and also add the Schezwan sauce to it according to your taste and spice level necessary. Once added and mixed up with the vegetables and egg add in the cooked rice and gently mix them up until it is fully covered with the sauce.

Step 3:

Serve them hot with raita or Manchurian sauce.
