Spicy and piquant dry chutney made from garlic, desiccated coconut, sesame seeds and red chili powder. Dry garlic coconut chutney is also called as lasun khobra chutney in marathi. This spicy chutney is usually served with vada pav.
- Sunflower oil – 1 tsp
- Garlic 🧄 – 7 to 8
- White sesame seeds – 1 tbsp
- Coconut. – 1/2 cup (Desiccated)
- Red chili – 5 to 6
- Salt. – 1 tsp
Finely chop the garlic and keep the ingredients ready to fry. In a pan add in the garlic and sauté them till it is dry roasted and keep aside. Now in the same pan roast coconut , red chili and sesame seeds . When it cool down pulse them in the mixer jar for few seconds.
Now, if it is wet roast them in the pan again and grind them to get a coarse powder .
It can be stored in airtight container up to 6 months
- Dry chili powder should be roasted in low flame and should not burn the garlic.
- Coconut and garlic should be dry roasted and shouldn’t be burnt.
