This is one of the most loved snack by the kids. It is simple and easy to make. You can replace the maida flour with wheat flour. Yet it taste better with maida. If you feel it isn’t healthy you can make it small batch and and just finish it for that day.
Made this chips/ biscuits on a very special occasion or festival called Krishna jayanthi and my son just loved the spicy maida chips which i have penned in my website. Simple Spicy Maida Chips. You can do all at the same time . For sweet you are just going to add the sugar once after taking out from oil . While for spicy you are going to add chili powder and salt.

Ingredients: for dough
- Maida – 1 cup
- Sugar. – 2 tbsp
- Water or milk🥛 – 1 / 2 cup
- Butter🧈. – 2 tbsp
- Oil – for deep frying
- Sugar – 4 tbsp
Step 1 :
For dough mix all the ingredients and make softer dough and roll them thin of any shape like chapathi.
Step 2 :
With the help of knife cut diagonally on the rolled maida. And cut them to get a diamond shape Or any shape of your choice.
Step 3 :
Take the pieces and dry them in a dry paper for few mins to remove the wetness and in a small pan fill up with some oil and fry them and put them in a dry tissue paper.
Step 4 :
Finally sprinkle some sugar and shake it up to get it mixed with our crispy biscuits. Store them in a airtight container.
- You can use even wheat instead of maida as a dough.
- Adding butter gives more crispy biscuits
- Drying them before frying is more important because it would be sticky when You deep fry it.
- Roll them as thin as possible makes it more crispy. If it’s too thick it makes the biscuit soggy
